During my three-year tenure as a 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) in the United States Army, I faced numerous challenges that shaped my character and instilled valuable work ethics. My responsibilities included maintaining and operating substantial 2.5-ton diesel trucks, from general maintenance to engine replacements. I obtained licenses to operate various military wheeled vehicles, large and small. I even assisted a vehicle recovery crew. While my experience was significant, the most profound impact was personal growth. I’m grateful for my time and experiences, as well as the support of my NCOs and peers. Beyond my military service, I gained diverse experience. I participated in a fireman team at a shooting range in Texas, honing my physical and mental abilities. I also acquired proficiency in handling various weapon systems, including the AR-15, M-249, M-240, and the vehicle-mounted 50-caliber machine gun, for which I placed second in the top shooter competition.
